Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and about your use of Night Boat (the website at night-boat.bigne.workers.dev and any app version of it). By using Night Boat you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. What Night Boat is
Night Boat plays relaxing sounds, a spoken wind-down guide and an animated scene to help you rest. Some features are free; others need a Night Boat Plus subscription, as described on the Pricing page.
2. Not medical advice
Night Boat is a relaxation tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or cure any sleep disorder or other condition. If you have ongoing trouble sleeping, please talk to a doctor. Keep the volume at a comfortable level, and don't use Night Boat in situations where you need to stay alert, such as while driving.
3. Your account
You need an account to subscribe. Give a valid email address, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
4. Night Boat Plus subscription
- Plus is billed monthly in advance and renews automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime from Plus → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Plus until then.
- We may change the price of Plus. We will tell you before a new price applies to you, and it will only apply from your next billing period, so you can cancel first if you don't want to continue.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries about billing and handles returns.
5. Acceptable use
Don't try to break, overload or get around the security of Night Boat, don't access other people's accounts, don't copy or resell the sounds, artwork or code, and don't use Night Boat for anything unlawful.
6. Content
The app, its artwork, voice recordings and code belong to us or our licensors. Some nature sound recordings are used under open licenses. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use Night Boat; it doesn't transfer any ownership.
7. Changes and availability
We work to keep Night Boat running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If we stop offering Plus altogether, we will refund the unused part of any period you have already paid for.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Night Boat and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; if we do so without a good reason related to your conduct, we will refund the unused part of your current period.
9. Liability
Night Boat is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell subscribers by email before they take effect. If you keep using Night Boat after that, the new terms apply.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.), without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
